JOSE N. FRANCO-RIQUELME (Ph.D in Economics & Innovation Management, with international mention, at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid-UPM) is an assistant professor of business and economics in the Department of Organization Engineering, Business Administration, and Statistics at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His teaching portfolio covers undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in Fundamentals of Economics and Business, Introduction to Finance, and Fundamentals of Business Administration in the School of Computer Engineering (ETSIInf-UPM).
His previous academic positions include postdoctoral researcher at the University of Alcalá (UAH), Spain; visiting scholar at the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth (CNR-IRCrES), Italy; and research fellow with the Centre for Support for Technological Innovation (CAIT), Spain. He also has a widened professional career in private and public institutions.

Jose is also a reviewer for top management journals. He has published his research in leading journals and with renowned management textbook publishers, including Edward Elgar, IEEE, MDPI, and Springer Nature. His research interests involve business analytics, machine learning, and text mining on social media. Also includes open innovation models, KIBS, and data-driven innovation.
